"A Dialogue with Asia” expresses my anticipation and expectation for this year’s "International Forum for Architecture Thesis Design in Taiwan and Southeast Asia 2020”, the second one to be organised. This year, we chose the theme of "New Resilient Grounds" to collectively focus on and discuss the impacts of climate and environmental change on architecture and building processes, and how they affect issues of resilience and sustainability faced in tandem by the different participating countries. In addition to the forum involving academics and professionals, we have also invited graduates from Taiwan and Southeast Asia to showcase their design projects via an exhibition. We hope that these efforts contribute to our ongoing dialogues with Asia.
